Que Pasa? – Anchorage

Anchorage Jazz Workshop hosts a weekly jazz jam session Sundays from 4-6 p.m. at Organic Oasis on Spenard. The jam session is open to all middle, high school, college students and adult instrumentalists and vocalists.

Piano, PA, drum set, bass and guitar amps are provided if needed. Bring your instruments and have fun jamming on Jazz, Blues, Latin, and Funk songs!

Come to the Loussac Library and meet Anchorage board game enthusiasts the second and fourth Sunday each month at 1 p.m.

This is the group in Anchorage for people interested in playing contemporary/modern board games. They play a mix of the modern classics and brand new games. Open to gamers of all levels.

Check out a community explosion of inventions, one-of-a-kind building projects, and mystery machines constructed from LEGO® bricks at the Anchorage Museum’s MakersFest Saturday, November 8 at 11 a.m. This event is led by artist Lacie Stiewing and held in conjunction with the exhibition Brick by Brick.

Que Pasa? – Anchorage

Are you a young Alaskan who cares about the ocean? You could be eligible for a $500 cash prize from the Alaska Ocean Leadership Awards. These awards were established to encourage and give recognition to outstanding achievements related to ocean sciences in Alaska.

The Ocean Youth Award is given to an individual or team of Alaska youth ages 12-19 who has displayed a dedication to promoting the understanding and stewardship of Alaska’s oceans.
