University Wind Ensemble Free Performances

 

The University Wind Ensemble will present a FREE series of concerts as part of their Fall Tour 2013. Music selections space 200 years, including works for winds by Joseph Haydn, Adam Gorb, Fergal Carroll, Brent Heisinger, and John Philip Sousa.

The group will perform Thursday, Nov. 7, at East High School and Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Dimond at 7 p.m.

Recycle for a Reason seeks volunteers

 

United Methodist Church in Chugiak is seeking volunteers for their monthly Recycle For a Reason sale, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9. This is a garage sale that collects household items from the community and sells them for very reasonable prices.

Volunteers are needed Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 7-10 for set up, operations and take down. For more information or to sign up for a volunteer time slot, e-mail recylce4reason@umcchugiak.org
