Q-Club invites all LGBTQ students and straight allies to this week’s meeting, Thursday, Feb. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the Loussac Library. There will be a special presenter from the organization Standing Together Against Rape.

The Anchorage Suicide Prevention Coalition needs a new logo and a positive, uplifting slogan. All high school students are encouraged to participate in their logo and slogan competition. The winners will each receive a $100 Visa gift card!

Guidelines the logo competition:
1. Submissions must be original and created by any high school student.
2. Submissions may be in any artistic format: digital creations, drawings, paintings, etc.
3. Incorporate the color yellow into your logo, to represent suicide prevention.
4. Logos must fit on an 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper and must be attached to foam core or cardboard for display.

Guidelines For Slogan Competition:
1. Submissions must be original and created by any high school student.
2. Slogan should be uplifting and/or inspirational
3. Slogan should be emailed to eric@alaskachd.org, please include contact information and school.

The deadline is February 19th!

zAKs Boardroom, Collaborative Minds and Alyeska Resort are proud to present the 4th Annual Frostbite Festival, a celebration devoted to raising money for the Girdwood Community Fund, Feb. 7-9.

Kick off the three-day event Friday at 6 p.m. with local shredders showcasing their skills while a massive bonfire keeps everyone toasty!
