Attention ice fishers! If you’re between the ages of 12 and 15 then you’re eligible to enter the Matsu Kids Ice Fishing Derby Sunday, Feb 23. Prizes and trophies will be given to the three largest fish. Don’t have a pole? They’ll be giving prizes to the best homemade fishing poles!
So head out to Finger Lake in Palmer. Registration opens at 9 a.m. at Palmer Elks Lodge. The youth derby is FREE to join!

Video contest! The National Environmental Education Foundation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency are having a teen video contest about climate change. Create a video up to two minutes about how climate change affects you, your family, friends, and community, now or in the future. Be cool! Be creative!
