Dog show! The Alaska and Tanana Valley Kennel Clubs will hold dog show competitions March 22 and 23 at the Egan Center. Nearly 100 different breeds of purebred dogs will be competing. Individual Breed judging starts at 9 a.m. followed by Group and then Best-In-Show judging. Come talk to owners and exhibitors about their breeds of dogs. Just $7 admission.

Do you want to become a doctor? Attend the Alaska PreMed Summit Saturday, March 22 at the UAA Rasmuson Hall from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and learn how to get into medical school. Meet current medical students and hear practicing physicians describe their experiences.Take part in a mock medical school interview and hands-on learning.

Alaska Photographic Center presents Photo Tuesday each month. This Tuesday, Alaska Dispatch photojournalist Loren Holmes will present a special photo lecture at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center titled “3,000 miles along the Iditarod Trail.” Loren will share photos from the past three Iditarod races and talk about the challenges of covering The Last Great Race. Loren’s photos are truly a sight worth seeing! Lecture starts at 7 p.m.
