Alaska scholarship! The UNCF Alaska Leadership Council established the Alaskan Scholarship Program in 2011 to help reduce financial barriers and increase access for Alaska students to attend college.

Applicants must be an Alaska resident for at least one year prior to 1/31/2014. Through the Alaskan Scholarship Program, the UNCF Alaska Leadership Council will provide five graduating Alaska high school seniors with a scholarship to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university, trade or technical school commencing fall of 2014. The scholarship is awarded annually for up to four years.

Interested in learning about photography? Parks and Recreation is hosting a natural light photography course every Saturday evening in April at the Kincaid Chalet. All level photographers are invited. Topics will focus on environmental portraiture, natural lightning techniques, equipment and working with models.
