The Loussac Library’s outdoor summer concert series features some of the best local musicians. Bring your lunch, spread your blanket and listen to some great music every Thursday at noon.

Attention filmmakers! Show off your skills and love for the ocean by entering the Alaska Ocean Observing System’s film contest. You could win $1,000! Submit at film about any genre relating to the ocean, such as people using the ocean and coast, marine research, marine wildlife and ocean-related policy issues. Films must be 10 minutes or less. You don’t need to be a professional to submit a film!

Every Tuesday this summer is the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center’s Lunch on the Lawn. Eat your lunch on the museum’s lawn from noon to 1:30 p.m. and enjoy a variety of different activities and entertainment each week, weather permitting. Tomorrow is the first day! It’s FREE!
Head to Anchorage Community Works tonight for open mic from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. $5 admission fee or $3 for performers.
Musicians and bands! Join Anchorage Community Works June 15th from 1-4 p.m. to learn how to make band merch such as posters, t-shirts, stickers and patches. They’ll walk you through how the magic happens.

Summer is here and that means it’s Music in the Park time! Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. brings live music each Wednesday and Friday from noon-1 p.m. at Peratrovich Park (4th & E St) starting June 4.
Each Wednesday will feature local Alaskan bands, while each Friday will showcase performers from the Alaska Heritage Center.
