Hospice of Anchorage invites anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one to the 10th annual community lantern lighting memorial, Wednesday, October 8, at the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

Join them for lantern making from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Storyteller Jack Dalton has created a special original story, “Remembering the Light,” in honor of the event’s 10 year anniversary. At the end of the ceremony everyone will light the lanterns, call the names of those being remembered and float the lanterns together on the lake. There is also a memory table on which to display a photo of your special person(s). Feel free to contact Hospice with any questions: carrie@hospiceofanchorage.org or 561-5322.
