Que Pasa? – Anchorage

The UAA Department of Theater & Dance is performing Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” full of mischievous servants, pranks gone too far, unrequited love, tremendous loss and music. No one is who they appear to be in this production of one of William Shakespeare’s best known comedies.

The show premieres November 21 on the UAA Mainstage in the Fine Arts Building, and will run for three weekends. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sunday matinees at 3:00 pm. What are fractals? Find out Friday, November 21 at the UAA Planetarium & Visualization Theater as the hour-long “Fractals Rock!” experience will take you on a visual tour of the endless fractal patterns of nature and magnify for you the infinite complexity of mathematical art.

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $5-10.

At long last, Never Alone – Kisima Ingitchuna, the first-ever video game about indigenous Alaskans, is being unveiled to the public!

Come to Anchorage’s “Never Alone” launch party, Friday November 21 at Alaska Makerspace in Spenard from 4-8 p.m.

Try out the new game and talk to the developers in a public Q&A via Skype.

Alaska seniors — create a 90-second video about how the Better Business Bureau helps people become smart consumers and you could win a $10,000 scholarship!

Videos will be posted on BBB’s YouTube channel for public viewing. Winners will receive a $10,000 scholarship; travel expenses for one person to Portland, Oregon; hotel accommodations for two nights; and two tickets to the March 28 Portland Trailblazer game at the Moda Center!

The deadline to submit a video is January 30, 2015.
