Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol is hosting its 6th Annual Drug and Alcohol Free Community Super Bowl Party February 1 from 2-6 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Clubs Northeast Community Development Center.

Free Food, Drinks and Door Prizes! Come watch the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots battle on the field for the title of XLVI Super Bowl Champs. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy is celebrating the opening of their new expansion at 501 West International Airport Road, Suite 22, Saturday, January 31 at 3 p.m.

The open house features performances by members of Anchorage Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program.

This is an opportunity for the community to take a tour of the facility and see the new additions made possible by the Rasmuson Foundation, the Atwood Foundation and their Kickstarter campaign.

Registration is now open for the Annual Fur Rondy Amateur Photography Contest! 250 photos will be chosen for display throughout the Mall at Sears from February 27 – March 8, 2015 during the Rondy celebration. Fantastic prizes for the Best in Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners! Photo categories include portraits, scenic, wildlife, pet and more!

The deadline to submit is February 13.

Staff from the Alaska Military Youth Academy ~ AMYA will present an orientation to its 22-week Youth Challenge program tonight at the Loussac Library at 6 p.m. In the Challenge program teens 16-18 can work towards a GED or high school diploma, and are instructed in both job skills and skills for success. The workshop is for both teens and their parents.
