Join REI for a fascinating update about the conservation of sea turtles in a changing climate by wildlife biologist Nancy Tankersley. Nancy has volunteered for the non-profit group Sea Turtles Forever for 5 winters, collecting scientific data, and protecting endangered sea turtle eggs from being taken illegally and sold as “aphrodisiacs” in Costa Rica. Hear stories of uniquely-tagged turtles, which make a voyage of 800+ miles to return to their nesting grounds every 3-4 years.

In honor of Mother’s Day or another reason, you can “adopt” and name one of these tagged females, complete with a certificate and nesting history.
