If you are helping stop hunger in your community, you could be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship from the Sodexo Foundation.

The Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships recognize students who have made a significant impact in the fight against hunger in communities across the United States. The scholarship recipients each receive $5,000 for their education as well as a matching grant in their name for the hunger-related charity of their choice.

These awards are open to students age 5-25 who have demonstrated ongoing commitment to their community by helping fight hunger in the last 12 months.

The deadline to apply is December 5.

Pride Foundation- LGBTQ Community Foundation has just opened up registration for their scholarships.

These scholarships are awarded to support the educational pursuits of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, (LGBTQ) and straight-ally students. There are 50 different types of scholarships with awards up to $20,000, but only one web-based application for students to complete!

Scholarship! The Gates Millennium Scholars Program selects 1,000 talented students each year to receive a scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice.

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program, funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, was established in 1999 to provide outstanding African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students with an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education in any discipline area of interest.

The deadline is January 14, 2015.

Applying is simple! Register or Login to Unigo to get the scholarship application. Tell them your five simple words. Then explain your answer in 200 words or less. Four $10,000 winners will be selected. Creativity is encouraged!

Register for one of the Alaska Performance Scholarship webinars and you’ll be guided through the process September 2 at 5:30 p.m.

Not familiar with the APS? If you plan on going to college in Alaska, it’s worth applying for. You could receive up to $4,755 a year toward school!
