Que Pasa? – Anchorage
Anchorage Public Library is having a tea party to celebrate Jane Austen’s 238th birthday, Sunday, Dec. 15 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Loussac Library’s Ann Steven’s Room. Tea, light refreshments, and entertainment will be provided. Fancy dress is encouraged but not required.

Alaska Dogs Gone Wild flyball competition
Looking for something fun to pass the time Thanksgiving weekend? Check out the Alaska Dogs Gone Wild flyball competition at Alyeska Canine Trainers, Saturday and Sunday Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
Flyball is a fast-paced and exciting sport with teams of four dogs competing in head-to-head relay races.
Each dog jumps over four hurdles, catches a ball from a spring-loaded box, and carries the ball back over
the hurdles.
Dogs of a variety of sizes and types will be competing, so come out and cheer on your favorites!

The League of Amazing Jugglers
Interested in learning to juggle? Head to Anchorage Community Works every Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and learn from Anchorage’s best. All skills levels are welcome. The League of Amazing Jugglers provides juggling props and members are on hand to teach you the basics. Bring your arms and $5!
Ridley Scott’s “Alien” at the UAA Planetarium

Grassroots Fair Trade birthday party
Celebrate the fifth anniversary of Grassroots Fair Trade store and their new seasonal store at the Fifth Avenue Mall This Saturday, Oct. 19. There will be local musicians and lots of Fair Trade food. Since October is also Fair Trade Month they’ll be offering information about fair trade and drawings for fair trade goodies. All day, both stores.
