Calling all knitters! Anchorage needs help with a yarn-bombing project for the Anchorage Museum’s February First Friday event. Bring your needles and brightly colored yarn to the Loussac Library Tuesday, January 13 at 6 p.m. and help knit large squares to be affixed to trees outside the Museum. They need all the help they can get! Meet in the Innovation Lab on the fourth floor.

Calling all Alaska teen girls! Spend 12 days in the Alaska Range, exploring Gulkana Glacier and the surrounding alpine landscape through an expedition with a professional mountain guide and young scientists.
Girls on Ice participants experience everything from hiking through alpine meadows to getting up close to a noisy icefall, and from spotting caribou on the mountain slopes to traveling across snow-covered glacier ice, all while taking advantage of Alaska’s long summer days! Tuition is FREE!
The deadline to apply is January 31.
