Head to Anchorage’s only weekly live poetry show, every Monday at City Limits. Open mic meets slam meets feature show — all with a house band and no cover. Don’t miss Iron Poet Challenge. It’s like the show “Iron Chef,” but instead of a secret ingredient, contestants are given a word or theme to incorporate into a poem. All that plus improvisational musical stylings from house band, The Hacks. And free appetizers! The fun starts at 9 p.m.
