Photo contest! United States Arctic Research Commission wants photos of the Arctic and anyone can participate! Submit original photos of Alaska and the greater Arctic region in the following categories: Environmental Change; Human Health; Natural Resources; Civil Infrastructure; Indigenous Cultures and Identities; and Nature. One overall winner and six runners up will be selected.
The grand prize is $400 and runners-up receive $150. The deadline to submit up to 10 photos is January 16.

Calling all youth organizations! Raise Your Voice 2015 is an opportunity to positively influence your peers through media. This year, groups have the opportunity to create a video that educates or changes their peers’ perceptions on these teen driving issues: distracted driving, Alaska’s Zero Tolerance Law, seat belt use, Alaska’s Graduated Driver’s Licensing Laws, or drinking and driving.
All groups that complete the project requirements will receive a $500 check for their organization!
The deadline to submit a video is January 16!
