If you’re a member of your school’s student council, you could represent Alaska at the United States Senate Youth Program. It’s is a unique educational experience for students interested in pursuing careers in public service.

Two student leaders from each state will spend a week in Washington, D.C., experiencing their national government in action. Student delegates will hear major policy addresses by Senators, cabinet members, officials from the Departments of State and Defense and directors of other federal agencies, as well as participate in a meeting with a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Each delegate will also be awarded a $5,000 College Scholarship for undergraduate studies.

Work alongside field organizers and learn skills in recruiting, training and maintaining a volunteer base that will educate, register and turn out voters on Election Day.
