Q-Club has a couple of upcoming events at the library, open to all LGBTQ teens and straight allies:
Monday, Feb. 17 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Teen Underground, join the Identity Pride Prom Planning Committee — they need your input!
Thursday, Feb. 20 join Q-Club for a guest presentation and game night from 6-8 p.m. at the Loussac Library Innovation Lab.

Q-Club invites all LGBTQ students and straight allies to this week’s meeting, Thursday, Feb. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the Loussac Library. There will be a special presenter from the organization Standing Together Against Rape.

Lights! Camera! Video Club! Each Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Video Club meets in the Loussac Library Teen Underground. Come make your own short film, meet other youth interested in filmmaking or make a short doc for the library and get $$ for it.

Boogey down! There’s a 16-and-up event at Alano Club, in the heart of Spenard, this weekend. It will feature two rooms of music, interactive lighting displays and LED dancers provided to get everyone movin’!

Join the Pride Prom Planning Committee and be a part of Identity, Inc.’s annual pride prom in April. All LGBTQ teens and straight allies are welcome to come, Monday, January 20th from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Loussac Library’s Teen Underground. Refreshments will be provided.

Come to the Loussac Library, Thursday, January 16 for Q-Club, Anchorage’s LGBTQ teen hangout group. They’ll be meeting to share coming-out stories to parents and families from 6-8 p.m. Snacks will be provided.

Come out and meet Anchorage board game enthusiasts and have some fun every other Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Loussac Library.
This is the group in Anchorage for people interested in playing contemporary/modern board games, from people who are new and interested in the hobby to those that don’t mind burning hours on an epic game of Twilight Imperium. They play a mix of the modern classics and hot things right off the gaming press.

Head to the Mt. View Library the last Saturday of each month for Lego Club from 2:30-4:30. Try to complete the monthly build challenge or just free build to test your creativity. The best of the month’s creations will be displayed inside the library. Free snacks!

Alaska Jumping Flea Society is a group of fun-loving people who get together every Friday at Guidos Pizza Anchorage at 7 p.m. to laugh, sing and play the stress of the work week away. This is not just Hawaiian music. Head over and see if this is the instrument for you. Ukuleles on hand for those wanting to learn. Singers are also welcome. The only requirement is to have FUN.
