Learn the ancient customs of decorating Easter eggs at the Eagle River Nature Center Sunday, April 6, at 2 p.m. Learn techniques using melted beeswax and how natural ingredients found in a kitchen offer endless spectrums of hues for dyeing eggs. Listen, learn and fall in love with local world musical talent Sunday, April 6 from 1-4 p.m. at the Alaska Public Media studio. It’ll be an afternoon of music and conversation with six fantastic local bands performing a variety of music styles from around the world. Each group will perform for 15 minutes followed by a 15 minute interview with Alaska Public Media’s Torrie Allen.

Talent includes: Son Latinos, Crooked Road, Tomodachi Daiko Drummers, and Hmong Singing and Dance.

It’s First Friday time again and this month we recommend checking out the Rondy Shop downtown for an evening of crafts, puppies, Alaska native dancers and music from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The art on display is created by students from several Anchorage elementary schools.
