Come to the opening reception for the annual No Big Heads juried self-portrait competition at the UAA Student Union Gallery Thursday, October 23 from 4-6 p.m.

This year’s juror is Jesse Shaw. Shaw is a printmaker from Tennessee primarily working in relief prints carved from linoleum blocks.

Get ready for a flash mob — zombie style! Underground Dance Company is inviting the public to participate in a Thriller-style flash mob for The Alaska Multiple Sclerosis Center October 25. In order to participate you must attend at least one rehearsal Friday, October 10 or Saturday, October 19. The cost is $40 to participate.
