Attention knitters! Icelandic fashion designer STEiNUNN Sigurdardottir will be presenting a unique and engaging workshop “Rhythm Knitting” at the International Gallery of Contemporary Art Friday, January 24, from 4-6 p.m. This hands-on workshop will engage participants in a collective knitting experience, performed to the beat of a percussionist. Participants are asked to bring knitting needles and coarse yarn of their choice.
Steinnun attended Parsons School of Design in New York and has worked worldwide for top designers such as Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, and Gucci. She is well known for her fashion label “Steinunn” which features knitwear inspired by the Icelandic landscape and her Nordic heritage.
