Don’t miss the Anchorage School District Art Show Friday, Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.

Enjoy live music and artwork by K-12 Anchorage School District students. The 42nd annual Anchorage School District exhibition showcases artwork from some of the district’s most creative student artists. This year’s theme is “Creative Tide.” The student artwork is presented in conjunction with National Youth Art Month, an acknowledgement of visual arts programs in American schools.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Celebrate Anchorage’s cultural diversity as Bridge Builders hosts its annual cultural festival. Learn about different traditions through live performances, explore more than 30 cultures from around the world with a collectible passport, and create globally minded art. This event is FREE and open to the public.

UAA Concert Board presents the low-fi duo Cults Friday, Feb. 21, at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 advance/$20 door for UAA students and $25 advance/$30 door for the general public.

Anchorage’s Pulse Dance Company brings their fourth season to a close at APU Grant Hall Theatre with the premiere of “From Dust to Dawn,” February 21-23 at 8 p.m. (Sunday at 6 p.m.)

This talented corps of local dancers presents evocative movement alongside curious imagery and emotionally laden dance-theater. Inspired by numerous “end of the world” perspectives and scenarios, this evening length concert explores love, loss, perseverance in the wake of devastation and the importance of hope.

Celebrate Black History Month this Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center. There will be a gospel choir and a showing of the film “American Experience: Building the Alaskan Highway” from 2-4 p.m. Admission is FREE all day thanks to Wells Fargo!
