Free drawing workshop! Local artists from Sleeping Fox Studios will be teaching two drawing classes at the Loussac Library, Saturday April 19 and 26. Both classes start at noon and are open to the public. Bring your own supplies such as paper, pencils and pastels.

Hey, Poet! Alaska Teen Media Institute is inviting young poets to the studio tomorrow afternoon to record! In recognition of poetry month, the theme of their April 26, “In Other News,” radio show is poetry. Join them in the studio Friday, April 18 anytime between 2 & 6 p.m. to record!

Spend an afternoon with Tundra cartoonist Chad Carpenter, Saturday April 19 at the Loussac Library at 2 p.m. He will present a slideshow on cartooning and a glimpse into Chad and Darin Carpenter’s live-action, comedy/suspense, feature-length film, Moose the Movie. Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m., a classic Shakespeare drama will be shown and at 3:15 the modern telling will follow. We can’t say the titles, but one of them takes place in Venice! This event is FREE and open to the public.
