Calling all luna-lovers! The Anchorage Municipal Library and the UAA Planetarium are teaming up to bring you a night full of magical moon-gazing on International Observe the Moon Night, Saturday, September 6 at 8 p.m.
International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) is an annual event that is dedicated to encouraging people to ‘look up’ and take notice of our nearest neighbor, the Moon.

Alas, summer is coming to a close, but that means it’s time for the northern lights! Head to Midnight Sun Cafe’ for Todd List Photography’s first Friday event at 5 p.m. Todd is an Aurora Borealis chaser and journeys as far north as Chena and as far east as Lake Louise to capture the beauty of the northern skies.

He’ll be joined by the band Tanana Rafters.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Library patrons will vote the whole month of October for best bookmark in four age categories. Each age category will win a prize.
