Volunteers are needed for the Alaska Food Festival and Conference November 7-9 at UAA.

They need cooking demo assistants, A/V technicians, ticket and sign-in volunteers and presentation volunteers.

Join Anchorage Youth Vote tomorrow, October 16, at Kaladi Brothers Coffee shop on Brayton for a chance to meet local legislators, governmental staff and candidates. Bring your challenging questions to the table from 6-8 p.m.

They’ll be giving away Kaladi Bros. gift cards and free t-shirts!

Need a break? Check out Teen Underground at the Loussac Library every Friday from 3:30-5 p.m. for games (electronic, board, card). Use the iPads or laptops. Join a group to share writing and art. Watch a show or listen to music.

Alaska Botanical Garden is looking for ongoing volunteers to help out during the after-school hours (3:30-5:30 or 2:30 – 4:30) teaching lessons to young kids. Minimum age is 16.
