Orchestra, choir and band students across the state come together January 18 for the Third Annual Winter Music Fest at Bartlett High School. The show starts at 4 p.m. and is FREE and open to the public!

Come see raw theater in the making! Alaska Overnighters is an Anchorage tradition where actors and playwrights create, rehearse and perform plays in a 24-hour period. Head over to APU’s Grant Hall Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. to watch the magic and chaos! Tickets are $12.

Photo contest! United States Arctic Research Commission wants photos of the Arctic and anyone can participate! Submit original photos of Alaska and the greater Arctic region in the following categories: Environmental Change; Human Health; Natural Resources; Civil Infrastructure; Indigenous Cultures and Identities; and Nature. One overall winner and six runners up will be selected.

The grand prize is $400 and runners-up receive $150. The deadline to submit up to 10 photos is January 16.
