Que Pasa? – Anchorage

Have you had direct experience with Alaska’s social services system such as foster care, residential care, substance abuse and/or mental health treatment, juvenile justice, homeless services and Office of Children’s Services?

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 24 the Alaska Youth Policy Summit wants you to offer your perspective to legislators and other policy makers about issues related to Alaska’s social services system.

The summit is February 2-5 in Juneau. Activities include team-building and shared experience exercises, overviews of state policies related to youth in transition, how to develop and tell your personal story to policy makers, one-on-one meetings with state legislators and staff at the State Capitol and a legislative reception.

Become an effective advocate for issues you care about! Your travel, hotel and food expenses will all be paid for.

Apply by January 15 and let your voice be heard in the State Capital!
